The "packing peanut dance" is actually a animation of how hard it is to get up once you've fallen over and you're in a styrofoam packing peanut costume that isn't real styrofoam but just as well could be because it's so hard to walk in!

Akane Dressed as A Styrofoam Packing Peanut
Merle is lucky that she has something else besides a styrophome packing peanut costume, as she laughs at Akane, who is getting red, and feeling like yelling.

Styrofoam Packing Peanuts
Emma was on the computer. Akane and Aimi were bouncing on the bed. Merle and Yasu were chasing the cat while screaming their heads off. Luckily, her parents weren't home yet. Although teensy tiny cat girls screaming like maniacs was still quiet, it was noticeable. And the cat, who was named Cupcake, was a really loud cat, too. You could find him anywhere.
There was a small yell and a giggle as Akane pushed Aimi off the loft bed. She had landed into a box of styrofoam packing peanuts. She laughed and stuck her tongue out at Akane. Akane got red in the face, and Aimi laughed even harder. In fact, she couldn't stop laughing! Akane looked really funny! Akane decided not to get mad but try it out. she guessed that she did look funny, though. She was already red in the first place. So, Akane took three deep breaths and yelled out "CANNONBALL!" and she hurtled herself into the styrofoam packing peanuts with such force that they spilled out onto the floor. Then she made an extremely high-pitched whistle and Merle and Yasu came. They climbed up the loft bed and jumped down, screaming even more maniacally as they whizzed through the air.
Emma was off the computer by then, listening to the sound of tiny screaming, Hatsune Miku and her sewing machine. By the time the four catgirls were sleeping, she had succeeded in making costumes of styrofoam packing peanuts and put them into a small box along with the Hatsune Miku costume.

Merle Looks Like Hatsune Miku
Jocelyn, Emma's best friend, had come over the day before to take the cat girls' measurements. Today a package had come in the mail adressed to Emma. It was from Jocelyn. It was a fairly small package, but it was big enough for her to guess what was in it. She went into her room and opened it up. There was a small letter, a few pictures and a set of tiny, cat girl sized clothes. She read through the letter and put the clothes onto Merle, who the clothes belonged to. She looked just like Hatsune Miku, the world's favorite singing hologram with blue hair!

Emma picked up the box. It had her name on it, but no return address. That's strange, Emma wondered, why would anybody send someone a package with no return address? She shrugged and opened up the box. Inside the box was something she thought was only in anime and manga: four tiny chibi cat girls! She was so surprised to see this that she, like any sensible human being would, thought she was seeing things, until one with pastel pink eyes, hair, ears and tail walked up to her. She took a few steps away. Then she ran into the kitchen to get breakfast. As she was pouring her soymilk into a bowl of Lucky Charms, Emma could hear the noise of tiny little feet behind her. She put the soymilk back into the fridge and got a spoon.When she came back to her cereal and milk, that same pink cat girl was sitting on the rim of the bowl, staring at her with big manga eyes.
"Please," said the tiny pink cat girl, "can we stay with you? Me and my friends have no home!"
Emma accepted, bewildered still by the tiny being looking up at her. The cat girl cheered up a little bit and whistled. The other three ran to the tabletop, scooting up the legs of the table to get near their friend. They were light blue, light green and dark red. The pink one hid behind the daek red one, who spoke up for her.
"Well, I- erm, uhh, I'm Akane, and this is Aimi. Oh! And I'm older than her."
Akane nudged Aimi and she waved a little, but was blushing and only peeked out a teensy bit from behind her friend.
The green one looked at Aimi and Akane for a seconed and then spoke: "I'm-I'm Yasu and she's called Merle."
